1. Our Good Eater…she loves the food Mommy has been making for her.
2. Self-photo ops with Mommy!
3. Night night time with Daddy.
4. Technology so internet hugs can be given to Grandma and Grandpa Miller.
5. Determination…she is going to have that phone next time we turn around.

Ava was hanging out with her daddy watching football on a Sunday. She loved it, can you tell? 
I just thought this was a cute picture so I had to share! This is Ava on our way over to a friends house to watch the Colts game. Ahem, to watch the Colts WIN!!!
Also, this is the 910th picture we have taken of her with OUR digital camera. This does not count any pictures taken with any other camera, OR any videos. Sigh, she is going to hate us!
Lets start with Thankful Thursdays!
1. I am thankful for a short work week! We only had three days with students this week, a teacher duty day today and the day off tomorrow! Woo hoo long weekend!
2. I am thankful for my awesome baby food maker. That little thing is just so slick! It makes making baby food fun! Thanks to it Ava has pears, apples and carrots ready to eat!
3. We are thankful for the past 6 months. They have been the best 6 months of our lives. Ava never stops amazing us!
4. We are thankful for the farmers market getting back in full swing. Fresh, local produce…doesn’t get much better than that.
5. We are thankful for time to get caught up on laundry!
Okay, now on to the really good stuff!
The past 6 months have been the coolest yet. We have watched this little human being grow and learn so quickly. Ava has lots of favorite things right now. She LOVES her Curious George stuffed monkey. She sits and plays with him and tries to eat his face. She is getting to be a real pro at sitting up all on her own. She sits and plays with whatever toy she can reach. We have learned that she is a VERY determined baby. If something is just out of reach she will stretch and strain to get it. I think this means she could be mobile soon. Or, this means she won’t be mobile soon at all…what do I know? She is really in to eating her toes, her hands, her toys, our faces, mommy’s hair, the blanket…well, you get the point. If she can fit it in her mouth she wants to give it a taste. Ava is still our little snuggle bug. She loves to cuddle with mommy and daddy. We recently purchased Ava a Baby Einstein baby sign language video and she thinks it is HILARIOUS! She laughs at it constantly. Her giggles are getting so much more frequent, such a sweet sound. She is also SO happy to see us when we walk in the room. It doesn’t matter if we have been gone for five minutes or 5 hours she is just as happy as can be when she sees us return. She has also started to show interest in our dogs. As a result they have started to show interest in her. Whitley, in particular, is really curious about this little baby that has invaded her house!

She wants her age to be a secret! I asked her how old she was and her response was “Don’t you know you never has a lady how old she is?? Seesh, people these days. Rude!”
After I told her how cute she was “for her age” she finally agreed to show the sign.

This is Ava tonight. She has not been a fan of baby food until now. I made home made applesauce for her and mixed it with rice cereal…she LOVED it! Check her out in her new high chair too!

1. We are thankful for our health and safety. There is so much sickness going around (esp. at school, yowsa!) and so much horrible news on TV, we are thankful we are healthy and happy.
2. Jon says he is thankful for sleep, but that might just be because I woke him up from a nap to see what he is thankful for!
3. Thankful for the reduction in humidity! It is making the warm air more tolerable!
4. Thankful for our snuggly little girl. She just loves to cuddle and we love to cuddle her!
5. Thankful for the digital camera. We might have used this one before, but man, they are great! We have taken a RIDICULOUS number of pictures. THankfully we don’t have to go broke getting the film developed. We just have to go broke getting more memory for our computer! haha
We have LOTS of pictures to share with you. The computer struggle is still ongoing, so if all goes well I will get some posted this weekend. She has really been haming it up for us. We just love her!
Today we are thankful for…
1. Having a backup babysitter we trust! We found out at eight a.m. that our regular babysitter’s son had croup monday morning. Thankfully in a matter ofminutes we had a backup and neither of us had to miss work!! Whew, crisis averted.
2. The cold front that is supposed to come our way. Rumor has it the temp will drop about 20 degrees!!!
3.sleep…being awake is totally over rated!
4. The fun new iPhone that this post is being created from. Who knew how fun a cell phone could be!!
5. Jon’s new business opportunity. Things are looking good for his new business.
Sorry, our computer has been acting up so we have been a bit absent! Hopefully it will hold out and I can get this post up! I won’t bore you with lots of talk, just fill you in on Ava through pictures! I know that is all you really come here for anyhow!
I found some bows that will stay in the hair of bald babies. Love them! Now there is no question as to whether she is a boy or a girl.
Getting so good at sitting up on her own! I tell you, she is growing SO fast!

The bobby pillow is there for safety measures, she gets a little wild when she is on the floor! She hasn’t yet learned the consequences of flinging herself backward, and I am not ready to deal with it either!
